DayOS — Your Household's Chief of Staff

Program Overview

DayOS is an AI-powered family management service that helps households coordinate schedules, events, and daily logistics. Families interact with DayOS through text messages, email, and a web dashboard at dayos.io.

How Users Opt In

  1. Sign Up: Users visit dayos.io and create an account.
  2. Phone Number Entry: During onboarding, users enter their mobile phone number.
  3. Consent Checkbox: Users must check an explicit, unchecked-by-default checkbox labeled: "I agree to receive SMS messages from DayOS at this number, including schedule notifications, daily briefings, and responses to my texts. Msg & data rates may apply. Msg frequency varies. Reply STOP to cancel anytime. Reply HELP for help. Terms · Privacy"
  4. Button Gating: The "Continue" button is disabled until the checkbox is checked. Users cannot proceed with account creation without opting in.

The checkbox is unchecked by default. The "Continue" button remains disabled until the user explicitly checks the consent box.

Users cannot proceed with account creation without opting in to SMS.

Upon completing onboarding with the checkbox checked, the user receives a welcome SMS confirming their enrollment:

After Opt-In: Message Types

Only users who have opted in via the consent checkbox above receive proactive or automated messages. These include:

  • Schedule notifications — Event reminders and conflict alerts
  • Daily briefing links — A morning summary of today's events and action items
  • Event reminders — Upcoming deadline and appointment alerts
  • Optional proactive alerts — Conflict warnings and suggested schedule changes

Conversational replies (responses to texts the user sends DayOS) are only sent in direct response to user-initiated messages and do not require separate opt-in.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your schedule and notification preferences. Typical usage is 1–5 messages per day. Conversational messages are sent only in response to texts you initiate. Proactive notifications (briefings, reminders) can be customized or disabled in your account settings.

How to Opt Out

You can stop receiving SMS messages at any time:

  • Reply STOP to any DayOS message. You will receive a confirmation: "You have been unsubscribed from DayOS messages. You will not receive any more messages from us. Reply START to re-subscribe."
  • Reply HELP for support information: "DayOS - Your Household's Chief of Staff. DayOS helps manage your schedule, home, and life via text. Msg & data rates may apply. Msg frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out. For support: support@dayos.io"
  • Reply START to re-subscribe after opting out.

Conversational Messaging

Users can text the DayOS number to manage their family schedule (e.g. "Add soccer Tuesday at 4pm"), and DayOS replies with a direct response. These conversational replies are sent only in response to user-initiated texts.

Proactive and automated messages (briefings, reminders, notifications) are never sent to users who have not opted in via the explicit consent checkbox during onboarding. If a user replies STOP, all proactive messages cease immediately.

Rates

Message and data rates may apply. DayOS does not charge for SMS messages, but your carrier's standard messaging rates apply. Contact your wireless provider for details about your messaging plan.

Privacy

Your phone number is used solely to deliver the DayOS service. We do not sell your phone number or SMS data to any third party. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
